Connecting with Organizations:
ECHO→ An adoption and foster care resource for churches, businesses, and individuals to address and solve the foster care crisis.
How to get involved:
Join the response team for the Care Portal requests→ receive emails as they come through the Care Portal, pray for the families, help decipher if we can help with request, communicate to church, and/or communicate with DSS worker and/or family member from the request
Get us plugged into and organize drives through them. Diaper drives, coat drives, etc.
Warm Nights→ working with Community of Faith Missions (COFM)- a faith-based emergency shelter program that serves those experiencing homelessness in the Greater Williamsburg community during the coldest months of the year.
How to get involved:
Become a Team Lead to help organize our time as a church family in serving Warm Nights.
Be a part of a team that will work together to create and execute a plan for JC3s participation in Warm Nights.
Get on the general list for COFM to serve where you can throughout the shelter season.
Freekind→ Freekind exists to prevent human trafficking in our communities and support survivors on their journey to freedom.
How to get involved:
Be a liaison for our partnership with them. Staying up to date with their efforts and communicating that back to us as a church family.
Organizing opportunities that exist through them for JC3 to plug into: hosting a prayer night, gathering journey bags, scheduling an educational opportunity, etc.
Connect directly with the organization to become a survivor advocate or to volunteer in other ways.
Proverbs 226→ Proverbs226 creates the positive momentum in a child’s life, whose parent is incarcerated, that opens doors, allows healing and drives change.
How to get involved:
Be a part of a team to help stay plugged into whatever they’re doing in VA and to help organize the opportunities for us to plug in.
Other organizations to get involved in/serve as an individual and/or to create a group to keep JC3 connected with them:
3E Restoration- Equip and Encourage communities to Empower neighbors living through social displacement toward holistic sufficiency.
Grove- Recognizing the need of vulnerable families in the Greater Williamsburg area, it is a nonprofit charitable organization with a focus on providing food, clothing and financial assistance to those in need.
House of Mercy- provides quality compassionate human services to all people, especially the most vulnerable. They provide a safe and welcoming environment for area homeless to find respite, receive services, and work toward ending their homelessness, and emergency assistance and supportive services to those struggling to maintain housing and regain stability.
William and Mary's Baptist Collegiate Ministry- We passionately worship God, live in an authentic Christian community, serve global needs with the love of Christ, and inspire servant-leadership to offer lifelong service in the world through the local church.
Other Mission Opportunities:
Heading up and/or being a part of the group to plan our community events (like the Spring Fling, Fall Festival, and/or maybe something different)
Getting involved in Sports Camp planning and serving during the week of the camp for the kids of our church family and those in the community.
Creating and/or being part of a servolution group/missions team→ a group/team overseeing, focusing in on, and praying for the different mission opportunities that come about for the JC3 family. See a need, feel a need, meet a need.

Global Missions→ helping us prayerfully discern the next right step for us to get connected in a global mission.
