Sam Goins
Founding & Senior Pastor
Sam and Myra Goins, along with their four children moved to Williamsburg in 1995 and planted the church on Easter Sunday 1996.
The church was founded to be a place where everyone is welcomed. A safe place to hear a life-changing message of hope in the Lord Jesus Christ. Sam's passion is seeing those who have no church background or haven't been to church in a while find a personal life-changing relationship with Jesus. It is not about religion but about an exciting relationship with God.
Sam worked as a mechanic until feeling a call to full-time vocational ministry. He then attended and received a B. A. in English Bible with a minor in Christian Ed. and Church music, from Columbia International University. After serving several churches as music and youth, he attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received a Master of Divinity Degree. Then while serving as Pastor at JC3 completed a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Liberty University.
Sam & his wife Myra have been together since they were teenagers and now God's blessed them with 11 grandchildren who bring unending joy to their lives.
