BECOMING AN ADULT

Brothers, do not be children in your thinking. Be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature. 1 Corinthians 14:20 ESV 

EVALUATE WHAT YOU SEE IN THE MIRROR 

Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.  Romans 12:3 NLT 

STOP TRYING TO PLEASE OTHERS TO FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF 

42 Even among the leaders of the people there were many who believed in Jesus. But because of the proud religious law-keepers, they did not tell about it. If they had, they would have been put out of the Jewish place of worship. 43 They loved to have the respect from men more than honor from God.  John 12:42,43 NLT 

They came to Him and said, “Teacher, we know You are true. We know You are not afraid of what men think or say about You. Mark 12:14 

LIVE FOR AN AUDIENCE OF ONE! 

Am I now trying to gain the approval of people, or of God? Or am I trying to please people?  If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of Christ!          Gal. 1:10 ESV 

So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

God has allowed us to be trusted with the Good News. Because of this, we preach it to please God, not man.   1 Thessalonians 2:4
