THIS IS THE WAY! 

COME AND FOLLOW

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.      John 14:6

• HIS WAY CHANGES OUR TRAJECTORY 

Come and follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!     Mark 1:17 

Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”         John 8:12 

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO FOLLOW THE WAY? 

Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.      Mark 8:34 

• HIS WAY IS ALL ABOUT LOVE 

Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.  A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’  The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”       Matthew 22:37-40 

“Following Jesus is a one-time decision with a daily commitment!” 

Jennie Allen:  “So , discipleship is not about how much you know, it’s about how much you love. 

• LOVE IS ALL ABOUT SERVING 

Anyone who wants to serve me must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me.        John 12:26 

• LOVE AND SERVING CAN ONLY BE DONE IN RELATIONSHIPS! 

I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you.      John 13:15 

“The master said, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’ Matthew 25:23 

HOW AM I LOVING GOD TODAY?   HOW AM I LOVING & SERVING OTHERS TODAY?
