If love is the greatest, why don’t I feel it more?                      Pastor Sam     2-14-21

Love is not what God does, but love is who God is!

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.  1 John 4:8

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.   John 3:16

WHY IS IT SO HARD FOR US TO FEEL GOD’S LOVE?

1. Maybe we are not seeking God.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…  Romans 12:2

2. We don’t love like God loves.

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.  11Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.    1 John 4:10-11

If we are going to live like Jesus lived, we have got to love like Jesus loved.

3. We feel unworthy.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5:8

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.   Ephesians 2:10 NLT
