1. A LOVER

But because there is so much sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman should have her own husband.  The husband should fulfill his wife’s sexual needs, and the wife should fulfill her husband’s needs.  The wife gives authority over her body to her husband, and the husband gives authority over his body to his wife.  Do not deprive each other of sexual relations, unless you both agree to refrain from sexual intimacy for a limited time so you can give yourselves more completely to prayer.    1 Cor. 7:2-5

2. RESPECT 

Respect everyone, and love the family of believers.    1 Peter 2:17

As the Scriptures say, “A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.”  This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one.  So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.    Eph. 5:31-33

 3. CLEAR COMMUNICATION 

Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ...      Eph. 4:15

Just say a simple, ‘Yes, I will,’ or ‘No, I won’t.’ Anything beyond this is from the evil one.     Matthew 5:37

4. ENCOURAGEMENT

Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.    Eph. 4:29
